Tracklisting For Emma's Solo Album?
-= Rumor Warning =-

An email found it's way into the SpiceNews.com inbox today, with the news of Emma's tracklisting from her forthcoming solo album.

The tracklisting was as follows:

  1. A Girl Like Me
  2. What Took You So Long?
  3. Real Dream
  4. How I Feel Inside
  5. College (School Time)
  6. Just Little
  7. Burnt Out And Falling
  8. When Heart Begs For Love
  9. Whisper
  10. Higher Love
  11. Holder Of My heart
  12. Don't Think
  13. I Trust In You
It seems a little fishy to me, but who knows? It could be true, or it could just be just another one of the expected false tracklists that seem to grace the internet with their presence for every album that ever comes out.

Thanks Mandy "Brown".

Want Melanie C To Tour Australia?
You may have read/heard that in the recent interview Melanie C did for Australian radio(Story), she basically said that she would like to tour Australia, but at the moment doesn't really have any plans to do so.

Now I know that as a fact there are quite a few Australians out there (like myself), that visit this site and do like Melanie C, and would love to see her tour Australia, right? Any of those kinds of people out there? Perhaps?

Well if so, why don't you go on over to this site and sign the petition, that will in the end be sent to Virgin Records so that they and Melanie C know that there is quite a demand for her Down Under. Then with a bit of luck, and according to plan then pretty soon Melanie C will be announcing a tour of Australia, because of 'popular demand' or something like that. Hopefully.

Sooo, what are you still here for?!?! Get over there, and sign it, NOW! There's no time to lose! Spread the word, my children! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi! :)

Thanks Di.

MelB & Max To Move North?
Scary Spice Melanie B and her boyfriend Max Beesley are looking for a new house in Cheshire. The two are originaly from Northern England, and Max wants to be closer to his father there as well since his mother's recent death. Mel wants to sell her mansion in Buckinghamshire where she lived with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar because of the bad memories attached to it. Not only the bad memories of Jim, but the racist threats that she had there(Story). Mel said:

"There are racists wherever you go in the world. The best thing is ignore these things and just get on with your life. Max is great for me and he's great for Phoenix. The fact we're both from the North may in part be why we get on so well. We share the same Northern sense of humour. I've got a great life at the moment. I feel settled with Max and I couldn't ask for more. Marriage isn't something I'll be doing for a few years yet. I would definitely love more children though."

She was asked if she has plans to have those children with Max she said:

"That's for me to know and you to find out."

A1 Bash MelC
British Boyband A1 have bashed Melanie C after her comments about the people on Popstars being exploited(Story). A1 Singer Ben Adams said:

"I have a message for Mel C and I think it's from the rest of the band. We think that you should shut up cos you're not really that great yourself so I don't think you've got any place to slag off any body else whether they're crap or they're good, so shut up!"

I know, I was confused as well. This is not A1 the steak sauce. A1 is apparently yet another British Boyband(#88174). At first I was like "the steak sauce company has beef with Mel C??"

Melanie C's 'Hour Of Power' Transcript Now Available!
Well, like I said previously(Story), I'd see what I can do about placing a transcript up of the interview Melanie C recently did for the Kids Helpline Radiothon, although no absolute promises were made, as I wasn't sure on whether I'd be able to come through with the goods.

Well, guess what boys and girls? It finally came through, and it's now placed up on the site here.

In it Melanie talks of the press, about several celebrities she has met, her music tastes, her family, charity work, her current tour, a bit about her new upcoming album and a little bit more.

A big thanks goes to Limey_10 for transcribing the interview for us.

#*@@%&*@!!!! Darnit! No plans for coming to Australia just yet! Argh! C'mon Melanie! Please, sort it out soon! For me! I've been a good boy! PLEASE???? :'''( --LukeP cries himself to sleep, because Melanie C doesn't love him anymore--

More On Melanie C 'Hour of Power' Interview For Austereo Network
If you read the story that I put up yesterday here you'd notice that I was a little unsure of the interview on whether or not it had taken place/I had missed it/it existed.

Well seems that it has already been played, just a day later than originally mentioned as I've already seen a copy of the transcript.

That's all I should have to say on this ongoing saga, but stay tuned, as I hope to have a copy of the transcript up here for all to see, a bit later on. Hopefully. Maybe. If you're lucky.

Melanie C in Bahrain
One of Melanie C's stop-offs for her current tour included Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf. Which is where she ended up performing to a sell out crowd of over 2,300 people at Le Royal Meridien Hotel.

Beforehand, she held a press conference, at the hotels' Al Ghazal Ballroom where she met some of her fans, as well as several media.

A newspaper from the Persian Gulf, titled the Gulf Daily News was there, and reported on what happened.

She said:

"The Bahrain concert is the sixth in my first world tour and everything is just going great. Im just so excited about the whole thing. I was quite ill over Christmas with a nasty flu, but my vocal cords are getting better. Sadly the Press can be quite vicious at times and there have been so many things written about me and the other Spice Girls which are not true. It can be pretty difficult actually, but you learn to cope with it. Personally, I just try to ignore them."
She went on further to talk of her admiration of Victoria.

"I just admire Victoria and her husband David for how they deal with all the bad things being said about them. They have a great relationship and they help each other get through things."
Then continued to speak of how she's involved in charity, and other artists she's had experience with, such as Lisa Lopes on 'Never Be The Same Again' and Bryan Adams on 'When You're Gone'.

"I do lots of charity work. I usually support cancer research and homeless charities. As Spice Girls, we endorse charities we all feel strongly about."

"Lisa was a joy to work with. Bryan is great and hes a really good friend. I feel so happy to have worked with him."

Said some things on Geri, her music (not Geri's music, but Melanie's own music), and Bahrain.

"I cant say Im not friends with Geri. I dont see her very often but I spoke to her a month ago. I love what I am doing and I want to be a popular solo artist for the rest of my life."

"I am glad to be in Bahrain. Unfortunately I am not here long, but I hope to come back definitely. I hope those who could not come to my concert will be able to next time. I will tell the rest of the Spice Girls about my tour and suggest to visit Bahrain on our next world tour."

Autographed Mambo T-shirt By Melanie C Up For Auction
Remember all that stuff I was saying about the Kids Helpline Radiothon in Australia, here and here? And how there was to be an hour long interview with Melanie C for it? Well, I ended up forgetting all about it, and so therefore I missed out on hearing it, which is a bit of a bummer. Oh well, hopefully it'll pop up somewhere on the internet.

Anyway, on to why I'm saying this! The Kids Help Line Radiothon is holding an auction here, where you can bid on a whole bounty of goods. One of those items up for grabs is an autographed Mambo T-shirt signed by Melanie C (and perhaps worn by her as well). So if you're interested in picking it up or or just checking it out, clickety click right here!

Though I must say this first. From what I can see the auction is only open to Australian residents, who live in either Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth and Sydney, AND the bid at the time of writing this is currently locked in at $120 Australian dollars. Bidding closes in about a day as well.

So check it out if you're interested!

UPDATE: I've just been informed that I didn't miss out on anything as the Melanie C 'Hour Of Power' wasn't even on, like Virgin Records Australia, said it would be. Seems as though they made a mistake, or something. Anyway, I hope to have more news on this sometime soon.

Got The New Air Victoria's?
Hah, well not quite, but Victoria will have her own line of boots. The Gina footwear company asked Victoria if she would put her name on a new pair of boots they had designed especially with her in mind. Victoria gave the use of her name to the company for free! A Gina spokesperson said:

"Victoria didn't ask for any money. We're just delighted she's happy with her shoes. The designer immediately thought of Posh because she has such fantastic legs. He knew she would look stunning dressed in a mini-skirt, showing off her legs and wearing the boots."

The stunning black suede boots have a very high heel. They also have three straps and a diamond buckle. They were originally just custom made as a gift for Victoria but Victoria and Gina were so happy with them they have decided to manufacture them for the public. The boots will sell for £365 per pair.

Victoria To Present 'An Audience With'?
-= Rumor Warning =-

UK newspaper, The Mirror reports that Victoria is to invite a host of celebrities to join her for a star-studded special of the hit TV show An Audience With.

In the past the Spice Girls have been part of the audience, for celebrities such as Sir Elton John for 'An Audience With Elton John', as well as appearing in their own 'An Audience With The Spice Girls' in 1997. So in a sense Victoria would prove to be the only celebrity to my knowledge who has been the star of the show twice.

Celebrities rumoured to be invited along to be a part of the audience include her husband David Beckham, Sir Elton John, Vinnie Jones and Michael Parkinson. Not forgetting her fellow Spice Girls, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton, also bound to make an appearance. It could very well be one of the biggest gatherings of famous names ever on the show.

The paper also mentions that she will sing tracks from her first solo album called 'Girlfriend' (now there's something new. I wonder if that really is the title?), as well as answering questions from the audience just like previous shows have done.

Although Victoria is still to sign on the dotted line, producers of the UK TV station 'ITV' are convinced it will be a ratings winner.

An ITV 'source' said:

"Victoria is a very smart operator when it comes to promoting her career. She wants her solo career to be a success. She realises that An Audience With could provide a fantastic platform for her. It's got an absolutely prime-time Saturday slot and she wants to make sure it is a memorable show. But the programme makers are also really excited about the project. With the popularity of Posh and Becks, they are hoping for record ratings. They want it to be one of the big TV events of the year."

Spice Girls To Tour This Year?
Mel B has told UK magazine, Smash Hits that the Spice Girls are planning to tour this year.

Bit weird as the constant comments from Melanie C, seem to suggest that there will be no Spice work this year, Emma saying that there was no chance that they'd find time to do a tour, and a spokeman for the group saying there is no live work scheduled. So this comes as a surprise.

She says:

"Everyone's been saying we're gonna break up since Wannabe, but if we weren't enjoying what we were doing, we'd stop. But we're best friends, we've got a business together, we've a fantastic Spice office that we run, we've just recorded a fantastic album and we're planning a tour towards the end of the year. But we're still going to carry on our individual stuff too!"

Or perhaps it's an old interview, which was done before 'Forever' was released, and for some reason being published only just now.

Melanie C Comments On Israel
Melanie C, speaking from Tel Aviv in Israel - where there have been several bomb attacks, due to the Israeli-Palestinian fighting - has said she isn't afraid to be there for part of her tour.

"I am not at all afraid to be here. I have seen reports of what is going on in this country. I have fans here, and if they are living here and are OK, then I'm OK, too."

Through regular television footage, photographs and newspaper reports about the fighting most tourists have been frightened away, on top of that it has also caused several music artists to cancel performances.

Beckingham Palace Haunted By Ghost
Victoria and David Beckham's £2.5million mansion is said to be haunted by a ghost who roams the grounds on horseback.

Both Victoria and David, are currently arranging massive rebuilding at their mansion, before taking up residence, but the ghost - a 17th century aristocrat - is something that their security will most likely not stop.

It's been reported that he frequents the lanes and driveways of Sawbridgeworth, Herts, which is the location Beckingham Palace currently resides.

Locals believe he is the ghost of the late Sir Jocelyn Joyce, a lively old fellow known for his irregular religious views and heated arguments with certain fellow locals.

At the time, he requested that he be buried with his horse in the town's churchyard, but was refused, and instead was buried with his horse in the grounds of Sawbridgeworth home Hyde Hall, which is now a girl's school. Ever since there's been many reports of Sir Jocelyn and the sound of hooves.

Ghost Society chief Marilyn Kenwood said:

"Spectres often return if their final wishes were not granted. I am sure Sir Jocelyn is harmless."

Though one local said several previous owners of Beckingham Palace had fled in fear ever since the home was built approximately 100 years ago. He went on to further say:

"I have been told it is unnaturally quiet there and workers have reported strange sounds."

Aussie Version Of 'If That Were Me' Delayed And Melanie C's Hour Of Power Date Announced
The release of Melanie C's single 'If That Were Me' was announced recently that it would be released in Australia, today. Well that no longer seems the case, as according to Virgin Music Australia it has been "put back at the last minute due to strong public demand off the back of Melanie C's involvement in the National Kids Helpline Charity."

It is the official song for the Kids Helpline Radiothon which will be running across pretty much throughout all of Australia via the Austereo network, from 4pm this coming Friday, which is February 23 and then ending on 6pm Sunday night. Optus and Network 10 are also involved.

Also, you may remember how I mentioned before, that I'd be back with the date of the interview that Melanie C is doing to be broadcast across the Austereo network, for a National Hour Of Power - Melanie C/Kids Helpline Special? Well I've finally got the date.

It will be played just before the Radiothon begins, which means it will be on Friday 23 February, at 3pm until 4. You'll also probably need to know the radio stations that will be playing it. They are SAFM in Adelaide, B105 in Brisbane, FM104.7 in Canberra, FOXFM in Melbourne, NXFM in Newcastle, 2dayFM in Sydney, and PMFM in Perth.

Oh yeah, almost forgot! 'If That Were Me' is now scheduled to be released in Australia on February 26.

Victoria Blasts Beckham About Baby Boy, Brooklyn?
-= Rumor Warning =-

According to UK paper, the Sunday People, Victoria has blasted David Beckham, accusing him of abandoning their baby, Brooklyn.

Victoria was in the USA recording her album, when she found out that David was planning to do some paintballing instead of looking after Brooklyn.

He calmly told her that he was going to give Brooklyn to Victoria's parents for the day, while he went out paintballing, though Victoria got angry and ordered him to stay at home.

A 'close friend' said:

"Victoria really flew off the handle and gave David a right earful. She went absolutely mad and told him he must stay home and look after their toddler. David kept stressing to her that it had nothing to do with him being a bad father. He simply wanted to go out for a while with the lads. But she was banging on about him being responsible and how with her away he should want to be with his little son."

Victoria then phoned her parents, pouring out her heart about why David shouldn't be leaving Brooklyn, saying that if he really cared about him he would stay at home to look after him and not leave him to someone else, so that he can do paintball.

Her sister, Louise eventually calmed her down, telling her that there was nothing to worry about and that she'd help their parents look after Brooklyn.

The 'family friend' continued:

"Victoria and David hardly ever have bust-ups, but this one was for real. She has got a real temper on her and this time he got the full force of it. Suggesting David isn't being a good dad hurt him because the last thing in the world he is is a bad dad. It was only for a day after all. No-one can doubt he's devoted to his son. But Victoria's parents were very diplomatic about it all when she phoned them later and they managed to make both sides see some sense. They are great believers in talking things through and know their daughter very well. They have also been married for quite a while and so know how rows can erupt, sometimes getting blown out of all proportion."

Badgers And The Beckhams
Up at Beckingman Palace in Hertfordshire, David, Victoria and Brooklyn aren't the only residents.

A Badger sett (family or group of Badgers, just like saying a flock of birds, etc) also share the residence with the Beckhams, and worried locals have appealed to David and Victoria to make sure that the Badgers aren't disturbed during the couple's carrying out of a a £200,000 revamp of the gardens.

A neighbour said:

"The badgers were there long before Posh and Becks. We are asking them to respect the animals. We don't want them doing work close to the sett or on any of the routes the badgers use when they are foraging for food."

But David and Victoria have assured people that the Badgers will not be harmed and have given instructions to the builders to not disturb them.

And wildlife liaison officer for Herts Police, Inspector Steve Kourik, said that Victoria and David could be "a good thing" for the Badgers.

"Before Posh and Becks bought the property, it had been empty for a while and prone to break-ins and vandalism. Sadly some would venture through gaps in fences and gates and get killed by cars. If David and Victoria build walls it could help the badgers."

Details on exclusive Australian release of Melanie C's 'If That Were Me' and Austereo Interview
Well Melanie C's single is finally being released in Australia this Monday, which is February 19.

Though the Australian version is a little different to the UK version. Here's the details:

  1. If That Were Me (remix radio edit)
  2. When You're Gone with Bryan Adams (live)
  3. If That Were Me (acoustic version)
  4. I Turn To You (Damien leGassick remix)
  5. CD-ROM component with clip, and links to all the latest Melanie C news and to the Kids Helpline Charity.
Melanie C and Virgin Records are donating their profit from the single to the Kids Helpline Charity which is a 24 hour helpline for Australia's Kids and their parents. The Austereo Radio Network is running a National Kids Helpline weekend on February 23, 24, and 25 where all stations around the country including FoxFM in Melbourne, 2dayFM in Sydney, SAFM in Adelaide, NXFM in Newcastle, B105 in Brisbane and PMFM in Perth will be involved. They hope to raise over half a million dollars, and you can find out more by checking out their website here.

There will be several celebrities donating their time to help raise awareness but the one we're mostly interested in is Melanie C, who has been only too happy to lend a hand. She's did an interview down the line with the Austereo Network's very own Barry Bissell, the guy who hosts take40 Australia as well as FOXFM's morning show with Bridgette Duclos.

This interview will run sometime hopefully in the next couple of days as a special Hour Of Power with Melanie C, to be broadcast throughout the Austereo network (although those who dont live in Australia, and wish to listen to the interview you can do so at one of the radio stations websites that I mentioned above). When and if I find out when this is to be on, I hope to put further details up here on this page.

UPDATE: Whoops! Sorry there people, I sent you in the wrong direction for the Kids Helpline site. I fixed it now, so it should work. Oh, and apologies to those people who emailed me in the past couple of days and I didn't acknowledge your existence. I recently got a new computer and I was going through a couple of teething problems, I've basically fixed it so everything should be alright now.

Emma Wedding Drama
Rumors were flying on Valentine's day that Emma secretly got married to boyfriend Jade Jones that day after she was spotted leaving a wedding reception at a hotel in Cockfosters, North London. Emma was wearing a sparkling diamond ring on her left middle finger, and her mother was carrying a "Just Married" balloon. When leaving the wedding the paparazzi gave emma congratulations, to which Emma replied:

"It's a very private occasion so I'd rather us not pose for a picture and I don't want to say anything. You can print what you like, it'll be quite funny."

The next day however, Emma clarified the situation:

"It wasn't me that got married, it was my mum. It was a lovely, quiet wedding with only a few family and friends there. Afterwards I went up to Manchester to spend Valentine's night with Jade, but we're not getting married. If I was, I wouldn't do it in a white coat, I'd want a really big white dress."

She then talked to The Sun(UK) about her and Jade, and how somebody thought he was proposing to her because he bent down on his knee to pick something up that he dropped:

"I think someone must have thought he was proposing to me and rung the papers, but he hasn't proposed and we haven't got any plans to move in together, let alone get married. I know it sounds really funny but I made Jade ask me out properly. He had to say, 'Will you go out with me? Will you be my girlfriend?' That's how it was when I first met him and I like it like that. I want to keep that feeling because it's really romantic and exciting. Some people rush into things but I'm just not like that. We've never even talked about marriage or being engaged because we're still just at the dating stage. People say to me, 'It must be easy for you two because you're in the same business and you understand each other. But at the end of the day, I'm in a relationship with a boy and I'm no different from any other girl anywhere in the world. Just because we're both famous doesn't mean it's easy to have a successful and perfect relationship. We still suffer the same worries and anxieties that other couples go through. It's just part of life."

Emma talked about the time the two had broken up:

"We were still mates and we talked all the time because we hadn't had a massive fall-out or anything. We had just been working and were away from each other for so long that we couldn't give each other the time. I was worrying that if I spent too much time with him, I couldn't be working hard enough. In the end it was too much pressure. We have now both accepted that we are going to be apart at times and that's just how our relationship is. It doesn't mean it has to end."

About solo work:

"It's so nerve-racking because this record is full of my ideas. I wasn't really sure how it was all going to turn out. Just before my first photo session for the album the other day, I got really sick because I was so scared. I was really upset and my stomach was churning like mad. I felt terrible. I know it's not the first time I've done this kind of thing but it's the first time I've done it without the Spice Girls. Usually there's all of us there and we have a giggle and just get on with it. But this time it was me on my own and I'll admit I was terrified. It's like when I watch Popstars. I feel so worried and scared for those people on it. I couldn't have done that. For the Spice Girls we didn't have to audition on television in front of millions. I really feel for them, it is so hard to do. I'm not trying to compete with the Spice Girls. With Tin Tin Out, I was doing guest vocals. It was their thing really so I didn't feel the pressure. I was just ecstatic about it going to number two, that was fantastic. With my solo record, I don't want to push anything in anyone's face. If they enjoy it that's all I'm looking for."

And finally about money:

"I'm always careful with my cash, I'm always thinking things are too expensive. I'm still a bargain hunter and buy second-hand things. I went into Dolce & Gabbana the other day and saw this jacket I liked. When I looked at the label and saw it was £2,000 I thought, 'I'm not paying that for a coat'! I know I can afford it but I'm very wary of blowing everything. I want money when I'm older for my kids, I don't want to look back and think, I had all that money and wasted it. My mum has taught me to be good with money. She still buys things like Tesco's own-brand bread and sometimes I have to say to her, 'Mum, we can afford Hovis, you know.'"

Here is a picture of Emma leaving her mother's reception.

Mystery Girl Unveiled
That mystery girl that Mel was seen with the other night at the Kabaret club(Story) was Mel's childood friend Rachel Marsh. Mel bought Rachel a flat in London's Hampstead last year as a thanks for beign such a good friend. The two purposely held hands for the paparazzi, for fun. In reality, Mel suppsedly spent Valentine's day at London's Met Bar with current boyfriend Dan Cadan(Story).

Max Didn't Like That Kiss
Melanie Brown's boyfriend Max Beesley saw her video for "Feels So Good"(Story) for the first time and noticed that she was kissing that dancer at the end of the video. There was a minor argument about it, but they patched things up in time for Valentine's Day. Mel said:

"He saw the video for the first time yesterday and said, 'I didn't know you were snogging somebody. Why didn't you tell me?' We don't usually talk about each other's work. We talk about life. I didn't tell him because I didn't think it important. I was like, 'Oops, maybe I should have told you. I snogged the dancer and we did use tongues a little bit'. I had to switch my mind off and think of boring things like paper bags. Max probably does mind but he can't do anything because I will tell him where to go."

MelB Defends Parents
Scary Spice Melanie B has defended her parents' bashing of ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar. Her parents said that he was a male gold-digger and actually gay on Mel B's documentary The Player's Club(Story). Mel said:

"I knew what they thought. Half the stuff I would have loved to have said but obviously I can't so they said it for me. There were some bits that I would have cut out myself cos I did think I came across a bit arrogant and angry. But the director said to me, 'But you are!' so I thought, 'Alright then we'll leave it in!' The director's my mate. It was the same director who did Fish with me so I trusted his judgement."

What Took You So Long
Emma Bunton's official site is now up. It features her first single "What Took You So Long" available to listen to in RealAudio & Windows Media formats, as well as a short Valentine's Quicktime message from her, and an interview(local copy to be posted later), so go to the site!

Also there's a few MP3 conversions of "What Took You So Long" floating around, some are bad quality, and I couldn't download some others to check them, but I made my own as well. Since I have no webspace to post it, the best I can do is share it on Napster(standard servers), so you can get it off me on there, the file name is: Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long (Joz's Web-Rip).mp3 I'm JozCA but others should be sharing it soon as well, there's only so much a cable modem can take! And please don't msg me on there as I'm not going to even be home! Anyway, Enjoy!

Update: Schnickers was nice enough to provide hosting for my rip, the file should be appearing soon on this link:

Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long (Joz's Web-Rip).mp3

Also, the lyrics for this song AND for "I Don't Wanna Know"(Story) are up at Spice Viva Forever.

If You Wanna Have Some Fun Montage MPEG
The "If You Wanna Have Some Fun" montage video which MTV UK or ITV made(don't remember which station exactly) a couple months ago is finally on the net in MPEG format, since now it's started running in The Netherlands. You can get it off Telejunkie's site. Note that this is not an official video, but rather a montage compilation of miscellaneous old and new Spice Girls footage synced with "If You Wanna Have Some Fun" running over it.

Here is the direct link to the new videos page if you want to skip the lame hour long flash intro to the Telejunkie site.

Feels So Good CD-Rip
Yep, I don't know I guess they get singles eariler in Germany than in England or something even though Melanie B is from England(pretty messed up that her home country doesn't get it first). So uh, it's been ripped and it's up on Schnickers.net So it's out, go get it there!

Thanks Schnickers.

Or if you're the type of person who prefers to take it up the ass from the record industry, don't dare download it, instead make sure to buy 5 or 6 copies of the single the day it comes out in your country. Which in the US will be never since Virgin Records are idiots / Mel B is too scared to release anything here, so download it regardless of who you are.... unless you REALLY like to take it up the ass from the record industry, in that case order a few copies of the import...

MelC & Mystery Girl
The International Lesbian Association as well as the British paparazzi are running wild trying to figure out who this girl is that Melanie C was spotted out with a couple nights ago. Here are two large pictures of them: In fairness to the International Anti-Lesbian Association, let it be noted that when the two were out, they were only noted as being "very chatty", aka they weren't making out or anything, aka Mel said she's not a lesbian many times so this is probably just a friend of hers.

Beckhams Disgusted by Eminem
-= Rumor Warning =-

Victoria & David Beckham attended Eminem's concert in Manchester, England a couple days ago, but they left after only 15 minutes. They reportedly were disgusted by the show, which featured Eminem wearing an ice-hockey mask while wielding a chainsaw above his head. He also appeared to take ecstacy and encouraged the audience to pop the pill. On-stage props included an electric chair and a 10ft synthetic penis. A 'close friend' of the Beckhams said:

"They were just so disgusted they had to leave. They said they thought it was so terrible that Brooklyn would have to grow up in a world where Eminem was a star."

Ciudad Internet Interviews The Spice Girls
Well, Argentinan portal Ciudad Internet has put up quite a long interview with the Spice Girls here.

Only problem for those who don't know Spanish is that you probably wont be able to understand a single thing it says, so that's why you'll have to laugh yourself silly spotting the mistakes in the BabelFish translation to English.

The interview basically talks about their solo careers, their fans, their friendship, and basically what is involved in being a Spice Girl. Also for everything the girls say in it, there's a Real Audio clip so you can just basically go to the original site and just click on the links next to the little speakers to hear the audio.

Thanks goes to FeDe from El Mundo de las Spice Girls!

Victoria And David Beckham Interviewed By Ali G
Well as you may have read just below this news entry, Victoria and David will be interviewed By Ali G, to be screened on March 16 in the UK.

You wont have to wait until then to know what happens though, as the interview has actually already taken place! I've placed a transcript up for all to read here (though it took forever to type it in! argh!!), and a quite small picture of Victoria, David and Ali together here.

You may notice by reading the transcript that it's a bit rude, and sources have claimed that it will have to be "heavily edited" before going to air.

But before I end this, just a little bit of info first for those not in the know. Ali G is a spoof gangsta rapper, played by comedian Sacha Baron-Cohen who also plays quite a few other characters. Though his most popular and the character he is most known for is Ali G. Ali G was also Madonna's limo driver in the video clip to 'Music'.

Oh yeah, and in the interview Ali pokes fun at Posh's fashion sense, Beckham's alleged lack of intellectual prowess, and talks about the Spice Girls and a bit about their future with Victoria, plus much more! Anyway, what am I doing wasting my time typing out all this, just read it!

Melanie C Interview In The Times
Remember yesterday's story, where I wasn't quite sure about the quote? Well I have now found out that it is indeed correct. It seems UK newspaper, The Sun got it from an interview with Melanie C taken from another UK newspaper, The Times. In it Melanie talks about things such as her recent health problems, the paparazzi, Geri's departure, the future of Spice Girls, and reveals that she's been dumped by her boyfriend Dan.

Emma & Jade Duet: "I Don't Know"
Emma Bunton and boyfriend Jade Jones of UK group Damage have recorded a duet together(as they have been rumored of planning to do for quite some time). The song is allegedly called "I Don't Know" and will be on the next Damage album, Since You've Been Gone, which is due out March 26th. It's an upbeat love song and the lyrics supposedly go something like:

Jade: When I see a girl like you I just gotta take control, someone for what I want, I guess I'm being bold. If I tell you all the things you make me feel, will you show me that you can keep it real?

Emma: I think that you and me have a certain chemistry, that's one thing I must say. And I'd like to know you better, starting from today. If I tell you all the things you make me feel, will you show me?

..and they both say in the chorus:

"I think you're kind of cute. I don't know if you want to, but I do."

MelC @ Swidon
Melanie C will be performing in Swindon this summer in support of a national(UK) homeless charity for young people. She will most likely launch the week-long Swindon leg of the tour in August at this year's Party In The Park(UK) music festival. The project is being run by Kandu Arts for Sustainable Development, which is based in Chippenham and has already run several projects in Swindon. You may remember that Mel also helped Kandu-Arts last year(Story). Founder Ed Deedigan says:

"We will be going to cities and large towns in Britain, including Swindon, to talk to young homeless people and explore their issues. We will be putting the stories of their lives onto film and into plays and music, which will be presented to the local MPs, businesses, local authorities and other organisations, at the end of each week. The aim is to find sustainable solutions between homeless people and the other organisations to help solve their problems. We all need things like shelter to keep us from the elements in this country yet we build things like the Millennium Dome when there are people who haven't got homes. We can't call that a civilised society."

Mr. Deedigan used to work in the music industry and was introduced to Mel by Damon Albarn, lead singer with Blur, whom he went to drama college with.

Beckingham Palace Update
The Beckhams are said to be spending £250,000 on landscaping the 24-acre backyard of their Hertfordshire home which is still under construction. About the same is said to be invested in a studio inside the mansion, and Brooklyn's nursery is said to be getting a £20,000 domed roof with fibre-optic stars. Outside there will be a £70,000 52ft garden pavilion while three gazebo's will cost £30,000. The gazebos will be made by the garden furniture specialists, Lloyd Christie of London. Posh & Becks reportedly also have ordered almost 50,000 flowers for one bed alongside the half-mile driveway to the house. However the couple may want to invest their money in some flood protection, as the property is in the middle of a red-alert flood area.

No More MelB Albums?
Melanie B says she is not sure if she will be doing any more solo albums. Her plans seem to be to do some more acting this year, and pick up work with Spice Girls again next year. As far as collaborations go, Melanie says she would not be interested in working with Eminem, but would be interested in working with Foxy Brown. Mel said:

"I don't know if there's going to be another album from me. I'm going to see how this one goes cos it hasn't been out that long, and its my second single off it. So I'm going to release a few more singles, see how it goes."

Full Version Tell Me Why Remix
The full version 10-minute long remix of "Tell Me Why" (Thunderpuss Club Mix) has made it's way onto the net, you can get it off Napster, etc.

Thanks MikeMGMVE.

This remix is the best thing ever i still think. I'll take this opportunity to address all you non-computer-geeks who are worried about "oh my god, Napster is going to start charging for it's service in May(or whenever)." Yeah they are going to start charging for you to use their servers. You don't have to use Napster Inc's servers. So when they start charging, just connect to a different network of servers like the OpenNAP network, which has more files on it now than Napster Inc's servers. To do this USE NAPIGATOR.

Melanie C Speaks Her Opinion On Popstars
Melanie C has come forth with what she thinks of the UK version of "Popstars". The popular reality TV series - which originated in New Zealand and then spawned itself into local versions throughout the world - that has thousands of people audition all over the country, with the hopes that they will be chosen over all other applicants to become Popstars.

She says:

"I think it is such an exploitation of those poor kids. Mel B and I both agreed how glad we were it wasn't us, which it could so easily have been. The ones who haven't got through are the lucky ones. Those kids are going through hell and they won't have anything to show for it."

The Spice Girls were also chosen in an audition similar to the process in Popstars, apart from the fact that the Spice Girls auditions and aftermath of them weren't screened on TV.

UPDATE: It's a bit confusing that quote, which came from UK newspaper The Sun. I first thought I was correcting it by replacing "haven't" with "have", and another site music365.co.uk did the same thing. Although, now re-reading it (thanks to Zila), I think the quote could be in fact correct. Hopefully for my sake it is, so I don't need to edit this again.

Mel B's Solo Strategy in the USA
Mel B has told worldpop of her plans in the USA. Her strategy is that she's going to release a different set of singles in a bid to appeal to the US R&B market.

"I've released the poppier tracks for Britain and Europe but in America I'll release the R&B flavoured tunes. Pack Your Shit, Hotter and ABC 123 (produced by Teddy Riley), will probably be future singles in the States. I'm going to ask Lil' Kim to do a remix of one track. I'll be in America in the latter half of this year doing promotion. This album hasn't been released for that long. There's still life in it. I'm really proud of it and I want to see how well it does."

Though what does Mel think of the performance her album has had in the UK?

"Well, I just think that not every album starts off doing well anyway, you know? I know I like to hear a few singles from an album before I go out and buy it because I want to hear what kind of stuff is going on."

She also said that 'Feels So Good' is to be released on February 19th, so that it can get more radio play.

Thanks Matt Shepherd.

Max Beesley On Spice
Melanie B's boyfriend Max Beesley talks about Forever's current popularity as compared with the first two albums:

"Mel was stunned and so was I. The girls thought it would do really well in America. The girls were right to change their sound and go for a more R&B feel on Forever. The Spice Girls were a phenomenon. When I was with Take That it was madness but never as big as the whole Spice thing. They would have been slaughtered if they had just stayed doing poppy stuff. You have to move on."

And he said about UK rivals Westlife:

"They are nowhere near the Spice Girls, they're going to be fucked. They have to adapt and change. They won't last if they carry on singing ballads and cover versions. But Mel isn't losing too much sleep over Forever. She's been throwing herself into the solo thing and I've been helping her with remixes. We are getting on very well and having fun. The missus is sound and beautiful."

Victoria VS Quiz Show
British comic sports show They Think It's All Over has been getting some static lately for making some rude comments about Victoria & David Beckham. Recently a sexual comment(didn't say what) by show panellist Rory McGrath was said to have gone too far and will be edited out of any repeats of the show. In the past McGrath dressed up as Victoria for a publicity shot with show regular Jonathan Ross as David Beckham and host Nick Hancock as the couple's baby, Brooklyn.

Victoria blasted back at McGrath in a magazine interview, referring to him as "that ugly bastard".

Emma Luckily Escapes Disaster In Bahamas
Emma has narrowly escaped disaster while filming a TV stunt in the Bahamas.

She was riding on a dolphin's nose as part of a report for BBC1's Holiday 2001 show when the dolphin began heading for rocks at a speedy 30mph.

A shaken and shocked Emma, later said:

"I thought I was going to come flying off and hit the rocks. It was very scary as I was moving so fast and didn't know what was going to happen."

Emma was safely able to recover at the £70million Ocean Club where she was staying.

What's she doing riding on a dolphin's NOSE?? I didn't even think that was possible in the first place and I can't even begin to figure out how the dolphin would have been able to see with her on it's nose. Sonar, maybe? I don't know, I suppose I needed to have been there.

Mel B Talks Movies, Tours And More
Starting to promote her upcoming single 'Feels So Good', Mel B has recently done interviews with a couple of websites. Two of which are worldpop and dotmusic. Melanie C also came along for the ride, so that she could entertain Phoenix Chi.

Mel B talked about recording 'Feels So Good' in Minneapolis with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis:

"Jimmy Jam just said, 'Here's a bit of music, write whatever you want to write and I'll be back in a couple of hours,'. So I just wrote about a really special love, even though I didn't have that then. I wrote about something that was very ideal in my own head about how a relationship should be."

"They are legends but they are so down to earth. I spent his 40th birthday with him (Terry Lewis) and sat next to Janet Jackson which was bizarre. It was a really good environment to be in."

She also said that after her acting stints in Spiceworld: The Movie and Fish she's looking forward to flexing her talents with some slightly edgier material:

"I do want to do acting in about a year or so and take it quite seriously and have some lessons, but I think I'd avoid bedroom scenes for a bit! I want to get involved with racial issues and not just do like a big soppy film. I'd like to do quite a serious one. I'll have to get my acting up to scratch because I'm crap!"

She also said that the rumours surrounding her part in a forthcoming Indian film, to start filiming in February are absolutely true:

"I haven't got the final script through yet but it's going to be quite a fun thing. I'll be doing a bit of acting and a bit of singing in it and they actually approached me about it which I'm quite flattered about."

Then she spoke a little about future releases from the Spice Girls:

"I'm sure there'll be more to come, cos we're all part of a very solid group and I'm sure we're going to be doing things in the future. We all decided that we wanted to do our own thing this year, 'cos we managed ourselves we're pretty much in control of what we do. Mel C's got her own tour starting in May, Vicky and Emma have got their albums out...so we're all pretty busy but we're all still there for each other, supporting each other."

As for a Spice Girls tour?

"Nothing is planned at the moment because we're all doing our solo stuff this year but in future, possibly."

...and what about the tracks recorded with Alan Glass prior to 'Spice' that are about to be released?

"He wanted to release them but I don't think he is. If people heard them they'd be shocked...they're very good, very R&B influenced."

Mel B also revealed that Feels So Good will be released in the UK on Phoenix's second birthday (19 February), although she's not nervous about dealing with 'terrible twos' tantrums.

Laughing, she said:

"I think she's already got them early. She goes to nursery and she's been moved up to the terrible two class already!'

She also spoke about her plans to release more singles from 'Hot', and do some live shows in the UK before heading out to America to promote the album.

For more on this, you'll have to make sure to visit worldpop and dotmusic soon (some time next week, probably) as they'll be placing the video interviews up for all to see!
