SHE was in the most successful girl band of all time, is married to the UK's most famous footballer and is now building her solo career.

But Victoria Beckham, who has just released her second solo single, A Mind Of Its Own, has taken time out of her busy schedule to answer questions from her Scots fans.

We asked Daily Record readers to send us their questions for the pop princess. And here are the answers from Victoria, who plays her first Scottish solo gig in Edinburgh tomorrow.

Q DO you have plans to do a bigger show anywhere in Scotland? Your Scottish fans are desperate to see you perform. - Lynn, Glasgow.

A I WOULD love to do a bigger tour, but at the moment people people don't really know my music. This is only my second single. When people are more familiar with my solo material, then I will do a bigger tour. Hopefully, next year.

Q WILL you be singing live at the Forth FM show? How do you feel about being criticised for miming? - Susan, Dumbarton.

A I WILL be singing live. I love doing it and A Mind Of Its Own gives me the chance as I don't have a big dance routine like with Innocent Girl. That was pretty full-on with wigs and backing dancers. Sunday will be like a little unplugged show.

Q THERE have been rumours the Spice Girls could tour again. It has been stated both Melanie B and Emma have hinted it. In light of your recent comments regarding the band's future, is it still possible for the group to execute the touring decision? - Kfir, Jerusalem.

A MAYBE one day. At the moment we are all happy concentrating on our solo careers and have no plans to work together. But who knows what the future will hold?

Q THE style of your new video is very natural compared to Not Such An Innocent Girl. Did you prefer dressing up or playing it straight? - Claire, Falkirk.

AI LOVE fashion, but for this I wanted back to basics. That was the advice Elton John gave me.

Q ARE you are having a statue made of yourself, David and Brooklyn? -Liz, Edinburgh.

A IT isn't true, like most stories you read about me in the papers. It's usually the case that someone else is trying to use myself and David to promote their products - for example, the sculptor.

Q WILL Brooklyn be a pop star or a footballer? Is he talking yet and since you're pop royalty, will you be sending him to Gordonstoun like Prince Charles? - Joanna, Edinburgh.

A HE will probably be a footballer with rhythm. He won't be going to Gordonstoun. It's a bit too far away from home for my liking.

Q HAS David got a record deal and can he sing? Does he sing in the shower?- Liam, Glasgow.

A NO, no - and no.

Q I'VE heard a rumour David is making a record. Would you consider a duet, Kylie and Jason style? - Mharie,Glasgow.

A NO.

Q IS it difficult trying to have a solo career after being so successful with the Spice Girls? - Lindsey, Helensburgh.

A IT is hard because the Spice Girls were so successful and we sold more than 40 million albums. If I am not successful with this album, then maybe the next one. I love music and will always keep on recording.

Q I READ you keep a diary and you use it to write some of your songs. How much of you is in the songs and is it hard to sing about personal things? - Keith, Perth.

A I WROTE most of the songs on the album myself and there is something personal in each of them. I think that this is the same for a lot of the best songwriters. It is easier writing about feelings I have experienced than just making up stories.

Q I LOVED your album, but it seemed the critics took great delight in ripping it to bits. If the music ends, what would you do? - Eileen, North Berwick.

A I HAVE already started working on ideas for my next album. I will make music until I decide to stop.

Q IS charity work important to you and how do you decide which ones to support? - Charlotte Edinburgh.

A CHARITY work is very important to me. I am fortunate in that I have pretty much everything I want in life - David, Brooklyn and my family. Shows like this give me the chance to give something back. I feel very passionate about children's charities, being a mum myself.

Q ANY comment about Tamzin Outhwaite or Footballers' Wives? - Mark, Arbroath.

A NO.
