New Spice Video Shot

In a small interview after her performance on Saturday's TOTP(see below story), Melanie C said:

"I was nervous before going on stage, but there was so much love from the crowd when I went on that I had a brilliant time. There is so much energy that you just lose yourself. Life for me is fantastic right now, everyone's doing their solo projects at the moment. We've also just finished the third Spice Girls album and shot the next video. The album should be out in maybe October or November."

Fit, Not Fat

Sporty Spice Mel C performed at Top Of The Pops(UK) on Saturday. She was one of the few there that sang her song "Never Be The Same Again" live. The most attention grabbing part of her performance was her t-shirt, which fired a message back at the media. The front of the shirt read "Tabloids, Kiss My...", and the back said "Fat Ass" with the word Fat crossed out and replaced with the word "Fit". Mel was firing back at the media for making such a big deal about a small amount of weight she gained for a short period of time which she has now lost.

MelC @ Party In The Park

Melanie C will be performing at this year's Party In The Park music festival which takes place on July 9th in London's Hyde Park. Other acts at the festival will include Christina Aguilera, All Saints, Destiny's Child, Savage Garden, Westlife, and Ronan Keating. BBC Music Live

Melanie C's official website has been updated with the following news:

Melanie is included in the line up at a special hour long Top of the Pops at this years BBC Music Live event at Sheffield Arena on 29th May. Jamie Theakston hosts some of the biggest and best musical acts from around the world celebrating the records and artists of the eyar so far. All Saints, S Club 7, Ronan Keating, Gabrielle, Moloko, Craig David, Artful dodger, Fragma, Andreas Johnson and Chicane with Bryan Adams have also confirmed their involvement.

Tickets are unfortunately sold out but you can still listen in by tuning to Radio 1 for a live broadcast from 16:30.

Victoria On Children

Victoria has once again stated that she wants more children in an interview with Heat Magazine(UK), and has also given a time table when we can maybe expect the next one. Victoria said:

"Nothing will put me off having more children, I want at least three more. We've bought a huge house and I want to fill it with children. I've always been in a family where there's loads of people round the dinner table and the telly's on in the background, and I want to create the same kind of atmosphere. In an ideal world I'd like to wait at least a year."

Victoria also talked about the death threats she and her family have received recently(Story):

"We've had threats of kidnapping and violence too. I think it's sad that wherever Brooklyn goes he has to have a bodyguard with him, but every mother will do whatever it takes to protect their child."

MelB On Divorce

Scary Spice Melanie B talks about her divorce and future plans in the latest issue of Hello! Magazine(UK). Mel says:

"I'm happy! Hopefully we will be divorced in three months, although we are legally separated. It was actually a relief. It has cost me a lot of money, too much, but as long as he's gone. She(her mother) didn't even want to come to the wedding!"

"Five years from now? Still in the industry. Still a Spice Girl. Hopefully, I will have another baby by then."

MelB Wins Award

Melanie B has won the catagory she was nominated in at the EMMA awards(Story). She won the public figure of the year award for helping in AIDS awareness. Last year while heavily pregnant Mel appeared naked on a charity AIDS awareness poster. Correction to the below post: it appears that the awards took place this past Monday.

During a recent interview on the Jerry Springer UK interview show, Melanie B said her debut solo album will be entitled Hot.

Melanie B has been nominated for "Public Figure Of The Year" for this coming Monday's Ethnic Multicultural Media Awards(EMMAs) for her work in promoting AIDS awareness. Mel is patron of Blackliners, a London-based charity providing sexual health and HIV support to people of Asian, African, and Caribbean origin.

Rodney Jerkins Interview

Rodney Jerkins, one of the main producers on the Spice Girls' third album, was recently interviewed by Black Beat Magazine(US), and there were some bits about Spice Girls:

Magazine: What in the world are you doing with the Spice Girls?!!

Rodney: Aww man, it came out phenomenal! I originally did three songs, and then they wanted me to do more songs. Believe it or not, I think people are gonna be shocked at how good they sound.

Magazine: You got them singin'?

Rodney: Yeah, they sound good. I mean, they sound like the Spice Girls, you know it's them. With the songs that I did, I wanted to give a mixture. I wanted to do one that was strictly Darkchild and make you dance. So I did something like that. Then I wanted to do something on their tip, something pop and uptempo. Something that I haven't done, that can take me to another level, that can make Backstreet Boys and N'Sync call.

MelB To Star In Movie

Scary Spice Melanie B will be starring in a movie entitled Fish. In the movie Mel will be playing the role of mother to a child named Jimmy, a young boy obsessed with tropical fish. The film deals with the issue of living in Britain as a mixed race child. It is believed that Mel took the role despite a low-budget pay because she feels strongly about the issue. The film's director, Bruce Goodison, said that the film already has £20,000 of backing from Northern Arts and he has another £25,000 that he managed to get from friends. On an odd sidenote, the boy Jimmy will be played by a girl actor because Goodison didn't feel that any of the boys that auditioned could show the emotion necessary for the role. It is unknown when the film will start shooting or any further details.

Posh Crown For Auction

Victoria Beckham's wedding crown which features 231 diamonds and is valued at £120,000 will be auctioned off to raise money for the British Red Cross charity. It was donated by it's creator Slim Barrett. The auction will be launched in the newspaper The Sunday Times(UK), but will also be available to bid on at www.firedup.com Public bids may be entered until May 30.

Victoria VS Rory

Show host Rory McGrath has been ripping and bashing Victoria & David Beckham every week on the television show They Think It's All Over. Victoria has finally fought back. Victoria furiously said:

"There are so many people who use usfor publicity. That awful program They Think It's All Over is the worst example. That ugly bastard Rory McGrath, and that's putting it mildly, rips us to pieces every week. How much can a person take? I'm serious about what I do. I can sing, I can write songs and I work bloody hard at it. Whereas Rory McGrath's just a prick."

When told about the comments, Rory replied:

"That's the nicest thing anybody's ever said about me and my respect for Posh has gone even higher now."

Neighbor Wants Victoria Out

Victoria Beckham's neighbor, Cybil Davis Brummel, has started a petition that she is trying to get ten of the other millionaires at the complex Victoria lives in to sign. The petition is for Victoria to move out of the neighborhood. Cybil wants Victoria out because she says she is sick and tired of putting up with sharing her lawn with Victoria and her guests. Cybil whined:

"Nobody else who lives in the grounds seems prepared to stand up to them. There is a communal lawn which I enjoy sitting on and taking afternoon tea. But now I am made to feel I am intruding because it stretches down from their front windows. I am starting a petition telling them to leave us in peace and move to their other home. But how many others will be brave enough to sign it, I just don't know."

Here is a local copy of a telephone interview Mel C did with Ugly Phil for Australian Radio yesterday. In the interview Melanie talks about the media, reveals officially for the first time her new tattoo on her hand and that it is her little Northern Star, finishes off by saying Spice Girls may be in Australia in November, and more!

There is a small article about Melanie C accompanied with some cool exclusive pictures(5 pages worth) in the May 12th(current?) issue of OK! Magazine(UK). I'll try to type up the interview and post it along with another Mel C interview later today(no promises).

Victoria In Playboy?

RUMOR WARNING

Victoria has been in negotiations with representatives from Playboy Magazine(US) in Los Angeles over the past week. Playboy wants Victoria and David to pose for a spread in the magazine later this year. When she first heard about it Victoria said "No way!", but then husband david asked "How much would we have to show?" The magazine told them that they would not have to pose completely nude and could cover parts of their bodies up however they want. The figure that is being discussed for the deal is about $1 million. Victoria also said that if they agreed to it she would want to pick the photographer and would have to approve all the pictures before they are published.

Victoria Stresses Over Niece

Victoria's week spent in Los Angeles has not been all fun and games. Victoria was distressed for much of the past week because her two year old niece Liberty Lawrence was rushed to a hospital with serious breathing problems. Victoria's sister was on vacation in Spain when she had to rush her daughter to the hospital when she woke in the middle of the night with a soaring fever and gasping for breath. Victoria at one point was ready to fly to Spain to be at the bedside of her sick Niece. However she managed to calm down a bit and told her sister that she and David are praying for them and if they need anything just to call them. It is last reported that Liberty is doing better and recooperating in the hospital from the problem.

Melanie B joined Doreen Lawrence, the mother of Stephen Lawrence, yesterday as she opened an art gallery dedicated to the memory of her son. Stephen Lawrence was killed in April 1993 at a bus stop in Eltham, South East London, in what is believed to have been a racist attack. No one has yet been convicted. The Stephen Lawrence Gallery at south London's University of Greenwich now houses many portraits and photographs of the boy and his mother, as well as other artwork including furniture designed in the shape of his initials. The exhibit will be open for the next few months. The Faculty dean of the University's Woolwich campus Paul Stigant said:

"Doreen was a student here when Stephen was brutally murdered and it was right for the university to remember what happened and honor Doreen and what she has achieved in the years that followed."

Mrs Lawrence commented:

"I see Stephen's name as helping to provide hope that could unite races and cultures."

New Album Dancable When Drunk!

Sporty Spice Melanie C in a recent interview talked about the third Spice Girls album and said:

"We have got some mums in the band but it's not a mature album, it's still cheeky and fun, and very danceable to when you're drunk."

Victoria along with husband David and son Brooklyn are on a week long vacation in Los Angeles again. They have been spotted in Disney Land on Thrusday and on Friday the family was shopping in Beverly Hills. It has also been said that Victoria might be meeting with a writer in Los Angeles to venture on her solo career.

Next Single: Let Love Lead The Way

Heat magazine has conducted an interview with Sporty Spice Melanie C. In the interview Mel reveals some new information about the third Spice Girls album. The first single off the album will be a ballad entitled "Let Love Lead The Way" and will be released in August, with the full album coming in September. Melanie said about "Let Love Lead The Way":

"It's just about love conquering all, really. Highs and lows, happy times and sad times - it's about life."

Mel also assured fans of the quality of the third album:

"People keep expecting rubbish from the Spice Girls, but the Spice Girls are never gonna give rubbish."

Mel also said that the third album which is still untitled will be more r&b based the the previous two and is currently in the mixing stages.

Judgement On Spice Tapes

There was a ruling today in the London High Court case of the pre-fame Spice Girls home videos(Story). There are four videos in total which show how life was before Spice Girls made it big, from 1994 through 1995. Judgement was for the defendant Neil Davies and Helen Bowers, the widow of the producer Matthew Bowers. Justice Pumphrey declared that Davis and Bowers are the sole owners of the videos and dismissed the idea that former business partners Steve Newmanand and John Gaudino each were entitled to a one-third share of Davies' 50 percent interest in the recordings after they claimed they were in partnership with him when the videos were produced. Davies, Newmanand, and Guadino were involved in a company called Rave Productions which was setup only after the videos were already recorded.

Victoria's Brown Hair Is Back

Victoria is back to her good old dark brown hair color. If you've been keeping up she had it streaked blonde a little while ago, then completely blonde. Here is a picture of Victoria from a couple days ago at a soccer ceremony which she attended with her husband David and their son Brooklyn.

Victoria's Birthday Gift For David

Victoria gave a £10,000 emerald earring to husband David on his recent birthday since he just got his ear pierced. She kept the gift a secret until she gave it to him last week when they were vacationing in Italy.

Victoria Death Threat

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has recieved another death threat. This threat was sent via regular mail like previous ones. It included a picture of Victoria and her husband David cut out from popular London Tabloid The Mirror. The picture was manipulated showing a bullet flying toward Victoria's head as well as blood pouring from her head. Beside the picture is a message that says: "You ??????? whore. You are going to get whats coming to you." This is just after the Beckham family returned from vacation in Florence on Wednesday. Victoria immediately contacted police. Security has been increased around the Beckham's and their families' homes. Detectives are now carrying out forensic tests on the letter and envelope, which was posted from the Stockport area of Greater Manchester.

It's so sad that Victoria has to live with this fear. Hopefully these threats are just scare tactics.

Posh Is Ultimate Fashion Icon

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has made first place as the ultimate fashion icon in a new poll/survey by Channel 4's show She's Gotta Have It(UK). Second place was taken by Kate Moss and third was Nicole Appleton of British girl group All Saints.

MelC: I'm Not Gay!

In an interview for the next issue of Heat Magazine(UK), Melanie C talks about accutions of her being gay and about her recent weight gain. About accusations of being gay and having her personal assistant Chai Ling Yau as a partner Mel said:

"If I was gay I'd admit it. People keep asking me when I'm going to come out. But I'm never going to come out because I'm not gay. So stop it! I don't really care what people say about me. But if I was gay I couldn't live lie. I'm too honest a person, I would admit to it. I've had worse things said about me in the paper. It's not even a bad thing, it's just not true. I think it's always been funny before, but it's gone beyond a joke this time. Ying is a professional woman, she just wants to do her job, and she does it well. All this innuendo about us is lies."

Mel also explained her recent slight bit of weight gain:

"The reason I've put on weight is simply because I've not been training ashard as normal. I've been going out, I've been drinking, I've been eating junk food, I've been enjoying life... and I've put on a bit of weight."

Mel also says she is back in the gym working out, back to her normal routine.

This should be the end of any lesbo accusations from anybody out there, especially you wishfull thinking lesbians(no offense). Sorry if you are disappointed, but at least now you know for sure, so hah! Not that she didn't state it before. I don't want to see anymore lesbo accusations ever again!

I Turn To You - Single
