Is it difficult to motivate yourself these days now that you have a baby and a marriage to look after?

It can be hard - it's like a major juggling act with the new Spice Girls album, my new album and the Truesteppers single but I often take Brooklyn along with me and he sits in the creative creche and that's good. I enjoy it and that is what gets me through it.

What are you currently grooving to at home?

(Victoria does a little shoulder shimmy) Well I'm such a funky chicken that I'm grooving to the new Madonna. I like a lot of garage music and Dane DJs a lot so he's done me loads of CDs so I'm grooving away to Dane's CDs. Actually you know what we are - POSH & DECKS! But then again I still love Stevie Wonder and I am really looking forward to the new Janet Jackson album.

What recent films have you seen?

I haven't really seen any films recently but my all time favourites are the old Audrey Hepburn films. I watch them time and time again.

Do you and David agree on music?

No not really he likes a lot of rap music whereas I like songs with a bit more soul. Im a big fan of Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton, Joe, Maxwell. But he likes a lot of stuff in my area so he is open to suggestions like when I tell him to turn that rubbish off!

Was he a Spice fan before he met?

Yes he was. He had our album and he really loves our songs and our third album with the two new singles, which is a double A-side, which is out here in October, so he loves those songs.

Can he sing?

Well actually yes it's funny and quite strange because all singers want to be footballers and all footballers want to be singer. But yes he can sing.

How did you hook up with Truesteppers?

Well I was actually in the studio recording for the new Spice Girls album and Dane was working with the Truesteppers and I bumped into him and he said come and listen to this track see what you think and we got writing on it.

We've heard you have been in the studio a lot recently have you been getting into your writing?

Yes my album is not quite finished yet and that will be out next year so I am very excited about that. I have done so much writing that I have got a bit of a poorly hand because I have been working so hard!

What is your favourite bit of the process of being the performer?

I enjoyed all of it but what is good is when you do live shows and you get to see all the kids that are buying your music and your looking out and they are trying to keep the dance routines and sing along to the songs. Thats a great part of it and actually meeting up with the fans, as they are the ones who buy your music and put you up there.

Describe your ideal day?

I would have a bit of lie-in. Then I would have breakfast with my two men - my two boys. Then I would watch a bit of Postman Pat and The Tweenies and then I would take Brooklyn to the farm or the Zoo or go swimming and do an activity with him. Then we would get home and Brooklyn would probably have a little sleep. And David and me would have a couple of hours to ourselves and probably watch an old film. Then I would get a takeaway in the evening and watch another film.

What do you never leave home without?

My mobile because me and David are often apart so I always have my phone with me and a credit card.

Do you dream in colour? Tell us your favourite dream ever?

I have those kind of dreams where they are so good you dont want to wake up and you think oh god why did it have to end. Then you go back to sleep and you cant get back to it. I can't often remember my dreams though. I normally dream about happy sunshiny dreams where you are on a beautiful beach.

What is your least favourite household chore?

Ironing - I hate ironing! In fact I cant iron, I try really hard but I just can do it. David's mum is a great ironer but I am hopeless.

Which classic song do you wish you had written?

'Imagine' by John Lennon would be a great song to have written because that is such a classic song.

Has Brooklyn started singing stuff yet?

I got him to sing Mama, all he says is Mama Mama. It's so cute.

Is he speaking sentences yet?

A little but not really. He has heard 'Out Of Your Mind' so much now that he goes around the house shouting 'Mind Mind' with his finger on his head. My mum has taught that when he hears mummy sing he put his hands over his ears and goes 'la la la'.

What is his favourite cartoon?

He loves the Tweenies - they're these huge characters and they sing songs. They're very educational. He calls them the T's and I think he has four or five of them and he won't leave the house without them.

Does he get to hang out with Phoenix much?

Quite a bit when Mel brings Phoenix into the studio - when we are working. They are funny together because they are of similar ages. Brooklyn and Liberty are together all the time. They are so cute together and we bathe them together. They laugh amongst themselves - they really have their own little personalities now.

Who inspires you?

There are some great people you know Toni Braxton is fantastic, Madonna is fantastic and Stevie Wonder. But then I think any working mother as it is the hardest job.

If someone offered you a seat on the first holiday in space moon, would you go?

No I am petrified of space so now I would stay well and truly on earth.

Did you get to choose your elements in the new video?

No we were given our elements. In fact one of them I was wind and I was very angry about that. I said 'Why am I wind why am I wind!' And they said 'you're not wind, you're air' and I said 'I am wind!' But what can you do about that - they all know me.

What do you have to do to get the thrills nowadays? Do you still get the same thrills out of life now that you are at the top of the pile?

I look at my baby everyday and thats what keeps me going. I have always been really family orientated so as long as my family is okay it doesn't matter what else goes on. I am the happiest girl in the world I have got a great solo career that is just about to start. I have three fantastic friends and a great career with them and a fantastic loving husband and a gorgeous baby boy. I am very very happy.

Do you think some of the things you say about David embarrass him?

No, I mean when I said the knickers thing he thought 'god what have you said now'. Basically he is proud to be a gay icon and when I called him regarding the stuff that was all over the papers and he said now he didn't mind being a gay icon. Its nothing he is ashamed of. Sometimes it is taken out of context as sometimes I am only joking and it is being taken a bit too seriously. I have quite a dry sense of humour and people take it the wrong way.

You took David's surname quite happily, do you think it is still appropriate in today's girl power society?

Definitely, I dont see anything wrong with that. You know I am proud to be his wife I can still be a strong woman. And I can still do what I want to do and be a strong female. I like it being called Victoria Beckham its nice because its a part of him. It sounds better than Adams as well to be fair. It sounds a bit like a train station but Davids sister was going to be called Victoria Beckham but her mum changed her mind as it sounded like a train station.

Is Brooklyn going to be a footballer or a singer what would you like him to be?

I think I would like him to do whatever he wants to do. Even if he wants to do something completely different and be a spaceman then I will encourage and support him. Whatever he wants to do.

Are there plans for another baby?

At some point I would like another baby and I am getting at that stage now where I think Brooklyn is not a baby anymore and I want a big family. I dont want huge age gaps between them either. But not just yet. I would like to get my album out and become a more established solo performer.

Have you seen Alistair McGowan's impression and how closely does that reflect you?

I can laugh at them as I have a good personality and it is quite funny but it is absolutely nothing like us. I think it is a shame because the media try to portray us as something that is nothing like us. But it is flattering when someone wants to send you up and that people are that interested that they want to do that. That is nothing like either of us and I have seen Alistair McGowan and I think he is one of the few comedians who can still be funny and not step over the line. He's funny!

Are you a royalist?

I loved Lady Diana I don't know a lot about the Royal's. I am not particularly interested though. They've got a very nice house though!

What would you have bought the Queen Mother on her 100th birthday?

Thats a hard one isnt it! A Garage CD so that I could watch her dance to it. She is lovely the Queen Mother is fantastic, too be that old and she still looks very much in fashion with what she wears and dresses very well. I would also buy her a tracksuit so that she could boogie around Buckingham Palace to them. She might really like those Techno beats and they are very loud and you can hear. Can you imagine how funny that would be?

Do you ever worry about anything?

Yeah, when you have a baby you worry all the time. When I was pregnant my mum said it gets even worse when they are growing up. My mum stills worries about me and I'm sure all your mums still worry about you. My family is the only thing I worry about.
