They're about to have a massive hit with Out Of Your Mind, their collaboration with the True Steppers. But are Victoria and Dane really worried about hitting the Number One spot? And will they still be friends when the hype is over.

Is it true that you asked for Spiller's single to be put back a week because you were worried it would beat you to Number One?

I would never ask someone to move a song. So much crap is written and so much of it is untrue. Spiller's single is massive in the clubs and I'm sure it will do really well. I'd find it embarrassing if I didn't have a Top 20 but I'll be totally over the moon if I get a Number Two, Three, Four of Five. When it charts in the UK we're gonna party whatever happens. There's still loads of promotion to do in Europe so this is just one step, really.

You're planning to do more songwriting together for Victoria's album, how are you getting on?

We started writing some stuff on the train back from Middlesbrough the other day, actually. I was surprised at Dane how talented he is. Apart from the fact he's got a fantastic voice, he's a really talented writer so we'll definitely put some time in the studio and do some work for my album.

People will be shocked to hear that you still get the train .

Oh yeah! It was so funny because after we finished our gig at G.A.Y. the other week we went for a drink and got in at about six o'clock. Then we had to leave at seven o'clock in the morning to go to Middlesbrough. It was good fun though, I enjoyed it. I hadn't been on a train for ages.

Weren't people a bit surprised to spot you when they were on their the way to the loo?

People did have to look twice but there wasn't too much bother. People kind of grabbed autographs early on and then left us alone, it was cool. People were surprised when we got off at Middlesbrough, though, because they were like, 'What are they doing here?' They didn't realise there was a massive road show going on so it was a bit strange.

You two seem quite matey now.

Yeah, Dane's really cool. I've learnt a hell of a lot from doing this and it's been great being involved in such a cool track. I've taught Dane a bit more about being poptastic - and posh! We're pop and soul instead of rock and roll. We're Posh 'n' Decks.

We do get on really well. We've been out quite a few times and we've had some good laughs. But at the end of the day, it's just great to get into the studio and make a single with someone like Victoria who's very, very professional. We're definitely going to stay in touch.

Dane, how is Victoria different to the way you thought she would be?

To be honest, I tried not to have any preconceptions about her. When I asked her to come into the studio and played her the track it was because I wanted to do the reply to Buggin' with a female artist, and I thought it would be a great idea to get Victoria involved. We didn't really have time to think about what each other would be like, but we get on really well.

Dane, is it true that you mooned at Victoria the other day?

No, it's only her that does things like that!

Victoria, have you been giving Dane any top style tips?

Do you know what? I put some glitter on him the other day at G.A.Y. but he was like 'Get that off!'

She came at me with this big blusher brush and there was a huge blotch of glitter on my cheek. I had to wipe it off. It went everywhere.

And I laughed and said to him, 'If it's going to sell records, you get it on'!
