Hi everyone, So sorry for the wait, but here is out beautiful little boy Beau. As you can see from the picture he is a bonny little soul, and he makes us so happy, he's the best thing that's ever happened to us. He's 10 weeks old now and we can't believe how quickly time flies. We're all getting ready to go to L.A, we've packed his little bag with all his goodies. He's started to sleep through the night now so mummy is getting some well deserved sleep before the tour : ) I've been rehearing with Geri and Mel C the last few days, and I really think it's going to be a great show. We shot the video for Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) the other day and I didn't stop laughing all day with the other girls, it was great having the gang back together. I really hope you love the single as much as we do. Anyway that's all for now, will try to send you a blog from LA and let you know how the rehearsals are going. Mel B's continued success on Dancing with the Stars (US) is causing tension with the Spice Girls. Members are afraid that Mel's commitment to practicing for the show will interfere with Spice Girls tour rehearsals. A source says:

"The biggest tension right now is Mel B doing Dancing With The Stars. If it carries on into rehearsal time, it could be very difficult. No one really factored in her making it through to these latter stages of the show. She may well win the damn thing, and no one ever envisaged that."

The Spice Girls' Tesco TV advertisement (UK) features the girls sitting on a couch by a table in a cozy atmosphere. The girls argue about what to have for Christmas dinner. Geri wants turkey while some of the others want beef or goose, with Victoria wanting lobster. In a second commercial the girls go shopping for presents together but start ducking and diving to avoid being spotted. A Tesco spokesman said:

"We are thrilled to be working with the Spice Girls for our Christmas campaign. We feel that the new commercials really emphasise Tesco's commitment to offer something different and exciting this Christmas."

The first ad starts to air on November 12th, the same day as the Greatest Hits album release (UK).

"The girls all agreed that a pole dancing section in the show would be fabulous and sexy. And they wanted to get some proper lessons from professional dancers. They chose the Soho Revue Bar with all its fabulous kitsch decor and they liked the idea of something a bit seedy."

Victoria wants to get into shape by trying corset training. This is a body molding procedure in which you wear a corset for extended periods of time. Victoria got this idea from her friend, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, who used thist technique to change the shape of her own figure. Dita says:

"Corset training is perfectly safe, provided it is done carefully. By binding the waist and following a specific eating routine, you can gradually reduce the waist. I used to sleep in my corset. Body-molding is a beautiful and complicated art."

Husband David Beckham is said to be worried about the health implications for his wife, though.

Worried for good reason.. this is what they used to do way back in the day, that causes your internal organs to be squished, collapse.. and women would faint cause they couldn't breathe, and die early. I don't know what kind of "safe" version Dita does, but yuck, yuck, and scary! I really hope this story is all rumor, else vic may be nearing the stage of needing help! Note that Vic has already been wearing some corset-like clothing.. and has a lung infection that won't heal.

"The girls approached me and said they were getting together to do a world tour, a greatest hits album and a big goodbye, and I was like: 'Oh, no.' It was the last thing I wanted to hear. All four of them had spoken about it and it was set in stone. They basically said if I wanted to do it great but if I didn't want to do it then they were going to do it anyway. I'd always said I'd never do it. But I didn't want to miss out and have regrets. I also didn't want to be the person that stopped it being the complete five. I was scared I'd be the villain. The depression and everything else was in my thoughts during the decision process of whether to do the tour. It took me a long time to decide because it was something I never ever wanted to do. It was hard, so I didn't say yes immediately. I changed my mind every day, it was difficult. I've been on the straight and narrow for four years. But I had to be sensible and evaluate what I wanted to do. And I want this reunion. I'm happy with my body. I've reached a good place. I'm healthy but I like Guinness and crisps. Life's too short to worry about weight."

The Spice Girls didn't have the best time at their video shoot for "Headlines" on Friday. Problems kept popping up and the video shoot ended up running until 3am. Geri was constantly meditating, sometimes causing delays, Victoria was demanding an assistant constantly follow her around with champagne and fruit, Mel B was jetlagged, Mel C was complaining about the delays, and Emma Bunton broke down and started crying towards the late hours due to all the problems. A source says:

"Things were very delayed. The director was tearing his hair out and threatening to walk. The girls were so tired and Emma was crying as the shoot just went on and on. Geri kept slowing things down by meditating and doing strange spiritual stuff. It's just like before but now their egos are even bigger."

The Spice Girls have signed a deal with a Norwegian retail giant to design a range of "modern woman" furniture. The designs will include sofas and chairs, floral print wallpaper, and colorful mirrors. A source says:

"It can't fail to work. The girls have something so individual about them. The company believes all five of the Spice Girls can each bring something unique to the furniture industry. They are sure the girls will be hugely successful selling their own designs. As well as tasteful animal prints, floral wallpaper and patterned lampshades, the plan is to extend the modern, uber-cool range to include luxurious mirrors in every colour of the rainbow. There are several meetings set to go ahead which will be arranged around the group’s hectic tour schedule. No exact figure about what they’ll earn has been discussed but it will definitely be around the £1 million each mark."

Welcome to the first blog!

Wow, there is so much to tell you! Things are really hotting up now with the tour preparations. Emma, Victoria, Geri and I had a fantastic meeting with Roberto Cavalli's team last week, the costumes for the tour are going to be AMAZING!! It's so exciting to work with such talented and lovely people, we feel very lucky.

I hope you've all been watching Mel B on Dancing With The Stars, she's doing brilliantly and we are all very proud. She's flying over today and we're going to be shooting our video for Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). We'll also be doing lots of filming for our documentary. It's really fun reminiscing and it is actually quite emotional.

I've got a busy couple of weeks promoting my solo single, This Time. I was in Manchester at The Key 103 awards on Wednesday evening and on the breakfast show yesterday morning, announcing our new gigs. I'll also be on Graham Norton, Loose Women and The One show so tune in for plenty of Spice gossip!

We really can't thank you enough for your amazing support, this tour is going to be incredible.

SPICE GIRLS TO PLAY MANCHESTER MEN ARENA

Melanie C revealed on Key 103 radio this morning that the Spice Girls have added two extra dates to The Return Of The Spice Girls world tour in Manchester, at the MEN Arena.

The new dates are Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 January 2008 and tickets for the Manchester concerts go on sale at 10am on Friday 26 October and are available from the MEN Arena box office: 0844 847 8000 / 0161 832 1111, 24hr hotline: 0871 220 0260 (See) / 0871 230 6230 (Ticketmaster) or online at: www.gigsandtours.com and from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

There is also more great news for fans as a handful of new tickets have just been released for some of the 17 shows at The O2 Arena. Plus, in response to the demand from fans, the six ticket limit has been raised so that everybody can buy a further six tickets.

• This deal with Victoria's Secret was Simon Fuller's idea, inspired by when Paul McCartney released his album through Starbucks earlier this year.

• Victoria's Secret has ordered 600,000 copies of the Greatest Hits album for sale.

• The girls are said to be getting $10 million for this deal.

Downloadable copies of the album, however, will be available from other retailers on November 13th.

Victoria recently visited David Beckham's father, who is recovering from a suspected heart attack, at London Chest Hospital. A visitor that was also at the hospital says:

"She was offered a cup of coffee by one of the staff. But she wanted to know what kind of water it had been made with: bottled or tap. Obviously it was tap water and she said 'no, thank you'. The staff were bemused. Water is boiled anyway, so people didn't understand what the problem was."

Puff Daddy, now known as P. Diddy, a known fan of the Spice Girls, has offered the girls buses for their reunion tour. He's paying $8 million for these buses, which are jeweled out and bullet-proof. A source says:

"Geri is pushing to sing her stuff and she's arguing they have two hours to fill and fans want to hear the solo hits. Victoria is adamant she'll not do it and is digging her heels in. The Daily Mail (UK) reports that the Spice Girls have leased a Boeing 757 Jet to serve as their reunion tour transport, and have named it "Spice Force One". It will transport the Spice Girls along with their families, management, wardrobe, make-up assistants, and bodyguards. The fuselage will feature reunion artwork. Inside, the jet will feature a nursery, make-up parlor, state-of-the-art bathrooms, sleeping quarters, a dining room, business center, and a media center. A source says:

"Spice Force One will be a flying palace. Along with the immediate entourage, the girls will have a team of chefs and nannies who will be on hand 24/7 to feed and look after all the VIPs on board."

There will also be a Spice Force Two and Three, two additional planes for dancers, stage hands, other staff, and equipment. A $14-20 million budget has been set aside to pay for the three aircraft.

12 shows have sold out in the UK through fans registering here on the spicegirls.com. Due to phenomenal public demand the SPICE GIRLS are pleased to announce two more dates at the London O2 Arena.

This unbelievable demand from fans has meant that the SPICE GIRLS have now had to rearrange their USA shows and add more dates. Details to follow. The judges on the show include Chanelle Hayes (Big Brother), Roseann McBride (Totally Boyband), Kenny Ho (the girls' former stylist), and David Laudat (their one-time vocal coach). The show's executive producer, Jeremy Davies, says:

"We're really looking forward to seeing the girls who grew up learning all the Spice Girls songs and iconic dance moves auditioning for our band. And with the team behind the Spice Girls' success on hand for advice and support we're sure our girls will do Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary and Baby proud!"

The fact that the word "New York" doesn't appear on the official site tour map anymore doesn't mean much, since the dot is still there, and "New York" does appear if you view the page in other languages. It's probably just a glitch, as it's been extremely hectic, and they've even been posting info on the official site with spelling errors, etc.

There is probably some hold-up with finalizing the deal with a venue in New York, like maybe they are trying to add more shows in New York and are figuring out how it will all work before releasing tickets there.

Meanwhile January 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th in London have sold out.

This brings the total number of reunion London concerts up to 14, and 30 total.

Still no word on when New York tickets will go on sale.

It would be nice if they used the added dates to broaden out the tour instead of just doing repeated shows in the same cities.

SpiceWorld will have a 10th anniversary edition DVD released this fall.

U2's frontman Bono is set to write a song for the Spice Girls for their Greatest Hits album. Sources say:

"There's been a bit of unease as to how the album will perform, and if there's still a solid Spice Girls fanbase out there. However, Bono's involvement has lifted the whole camp, and he's delighted to have been asked to add this experience."

This doesn't make sense. I know I used ticketmaster (like everyone) to get tickets, and though it wasn't for London, I didn't get my transaction done the first time, and that was TWO minutes of time alloted, so I'm sure there must've been some people like me, who after two minutes had their tickets released back to the pool, so, how could it be 38 seconds, EVERY person had a perfect transaction and no tickets were put back into the pool for others to grab? Doesn't seem statistically possible.

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the number of people who have already bought tickets to see us in the US and UK. Thank you so much.

Even though we have been able to add some more dates in the UK, we know that there are still many more fans who would love to be able to see us live.

We have therefore taken the very difficult decision to re-schedule some of the dates on our World Tour, in order to be able to perform in front of as many people as we can in our own country.
