"I know Westlife are a massively successful band but I don't think they could ever compare themselves with the Spice Girls. Obviously they're massive at the moment but they haven't had the same kind of success as the Spice Girls. We were a worldwide success. We had a No 1 record in America and all over the world. I don't think Westlife have reached that level yet."

Yet sad enough that it's a Spice Girl who needs to prove herself all the time..

When asked by SpiceNews, Channel 5 told us that they are "aware that rumours have been circulated regarding this story" but that "there are no plans to stage such an event."

Victoria basically also denied this rumor on Radio 1 yesterday, she was quoted saying:

"No, I don't want to do a duet with one of the other Spice Girls. I've got to establish myself as a solo artist first. A Spice Girls Greatest Hits album is the only real plan for the future."

It will be filmed at a secret location next month, and broadcast on TV for the first time in May.

You may happen to recall that Victoria starred in another TV commercial for Walkers quite a while ago alongside the other Spice Girls, but this time it will be her first ad as a solo artist.

A spokesperson for Walkers said:

"We regard the signing of Victoria as a fantastic coup. She is a massive star and we are confident the script will have everyone in stitches. It will really surprise everyone."

It is set to start at 5.30pm GMT, although earlier in the afternoon she will be interviewed live by DJ Chris Moyles.

I was watching Footballers' Wives and there's a couple in there that are meant to be me and David. Baby Spice Emma Bunton is teaming up with former Wet Wet Wet star Marti Pellow for a show at London's Royal Albert Hall. The blonde songstress is planning to join Pellow on stage on 5 February at an event to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Victoria answers: "At the start the Spice Girls were hugely famous and David wasn't even in the first team. The World Cup came up, he got sent off and hit rock bottom. That was when he was the most hated man in Britain, and the Spice Girls were doing a gig at Madison Square Garden in New York and Madonna and her little girl came backstage to see us. At the moment, I've had a real dip and he's doing brilliantly. I think with our fame we might both end up somewhere in the middle."

Natalie Imbruglia asks: Who would you support if it wasn't Man Utd?
Victoria answers: "I'd go for an underdog like Barnet, my local team. I'd love that, but David doesn't want to go there."

Dolce & Gabbana ask: We would love to know if David will ever play for Milan and if you'll come and live here.
Victoria answers: "I think Milan has shown interest in David, and with football you never know where you're going to end up. There have been players who thought they would be staying at a team forever and then two weeks later they move. Europe might be a possibility at some time, but I've no idea when."

It should be mentioned that there is no indication whatsoever that I was annoyed, I was just posting this news so that all of our readers would know once and for all the limits of Mel C's appearance and make their own decision as to whether or not to buy the video. Anyway, this totally goes to show how the media can take and twist any quotes they find into whatever kind of story they want to spin. So please remember this when you read the tabloids every day. Good gosh, the tabloids are freaks. They can take the same pictures and put whatever spin they want on them, depending on the story they want to portray. In my personal opinion, Mel C looks great and to re-echo the opinion of many: We focus way too much on appearance anyways.

Not that they were rude, but they didn't come across as celebs. A few years later, though, Mel C came in to record some tracks for her album Northern Star and it was a different matter.
