Viper Mel

Mel C was at Los Angeles' Viper Room on Monday. The cult band "The Outsiders" were the main performers of the evening. The excitement happened when Mel C got up on stage to perform the vocals for three songs with the band, including the Sex Pistols' punk anthem "Anarchy In The UK"! She did all this while dressed in clad and wearing a Spice Girls T-Shirt! Former Sex Pistol Jones explained that he met Mel C at a recent Alanis Morissette/Garbage concert and asked if she'd like to join the band for the show.

Saintly Trainer

Mel C has hired vocal trainer Dave Laudat. This is the same trainer that helps All Saints. The new trainer said:
"Melanie C asked if I could help her with some material at the end of the year. She doesn't know how talented she is."

Food

Here's an interesting way that David and Victoria quickly get food. There is an Italian restaurant five minutes away in Alderly Edge, Cheshire only five minutes away from their home. The couple phone their order into the staff at the restaurant, then David goes to pick up the food in one of his cars. The food is served on fine plates so Victoria and David wash the plates after eating and take them back! David usually gets Spaghetti Carbonara and Victoria always gets Pizza. Restaurant owner Jose Rodreguez:
"He always brings the dishes back. They used to come here and eat but people wouldn't leave them alone."

Baby Drama

Not of the Emma Bunton type, but rather of the Brooklyn Joseph type. While changing Brooklyn's diaper Victoria noticed a hernia problem and rushed Brooklyn to the hospital. Brooklyn had been crying of pain for several days. He has had an operation done on him to remove the hernia at Portland Hospital earlier today. The operation is very routine and usually takes approximately 30 minutes. If Victoria had not spotted the problem this early however, it might have turned into a medical emergency. The baby had been having caughing attacks(signs of a hernia) for the past few nights which also left Victoria and David sleepless and concerned. The parents became even more concerned when Brooklyn was whimpering and looking more distressed at which point Victoria noticed the hernia. Father David Beckham has had Brooklyn's name tatoo'd onto his own back. Mother Victoria Adams will delay her trip to New York to try out her wedding dress because of the operation and it's aftermath. Apologies for being unable to update the news for the last couple of days due to more computer upgrades, i should be done for a while now though!

Spice Girls Sue Polygram

On Friday Spice Girls Ltd. filed a law suit against Polygram Merchandising Inc. as well as another unnamed merchandiser. The lawsuit seeks $100,000 for unauthorized creation and sale of T-Shirts featuring the Spice Girls on them. Authorized sales of Spice Girls clothing totalled $25 Million last year, and $150 Million altogether for all authorized and licensed Spice Girls merchandise.

MelC Tracker

Melanie C is in LA for 3 months working on her new album, writing with different people. It's very possible she is working with Bryan Adams as the two both attended the last Blur release party in LA together.

NIN & Spice Girls

Here is a remix(MP3) done by someone named Krinn that mixes NIN's "Closer To God" with Spice Girls' "Wannabe". The initial mix of Spice and NIN in this track is not very transitional, but the track gets really cool as it goes on. Download this if you like both Spice Girls and NIN. Props go to Krinn for taking the time to make something this cool. People like me who enjoy both bands' music love these kind of things!

Stolen Pictures

The very first pictures ever taken of baby Brooklyn have been stolen while in David Beckham's possesion. Victoria and David fear that they will be sold on the black market to the highest bidder. British tabloids such as the Star have been notified by Victoria & David's lawyers that someone may try to sell the pictures to them. They have sent tabloids the following message:

"It has come to our attention that photographs featuring Ms. Adams and/or Mr. Beckham, together with their new-born child, are being offered for sale on the open market. We write to notify you that these photographs have been stolen from Mrs. Jackie Adams who owns the copyright. Anyone publishing them will be breaking copyright laws and committing a criminal offence."

Victoria and David are once again astounded about how far the paparazzi and others will go and violate their personal lives, especially to steal such an important family item.

More on Vic's B-Day

After Victoria and Brooklyn watched David's soccer team play and David made the scoreboard read "Happy Birthday Victoria", the couple went to their new £300,000 flat in Manchester where Victoria was treated to a surprise party with her family and half of the Manchester United team!

Breaking News - More Concert Dates

The Spice Girls have added 2 more concert dates to each of the previously announced venues(London's Earl Court & Manchester Evening News Arena). This is to give more fans the opportunity to see them as over 80,000 tickets were sold in under 2 hours before they went on sale publically for the first couple previously announced tour dates. I don't have the exact dates for these 4 additional concerts yet.

On the Official Spice Girls Homepage there is a new message from the girls which reads:

We are really, really sorry that we can't always reply to you in person, but we just get so many things-you lot are sooo generous. Please don't ever forget that you're a big part of the Spice family too and we want to celebrate with you lot!

By the way, check out both babies' birth-charts coming soon (Phoenix's is here already and Brooklyn's won't be far behind)--and you'll see we're really gonna have our hands full, but that's not gonna stop us remaining your very own Spice Girls.

I was busy all weekend so I didn't get to make any posts, and I forgot to post it for the 45 minutes that I was up at the start of Saturday, but Saturday April 17th was Victoria's birthday! She is 25 now. Happy Birthday Victoria!

Spice Dolls 1999

Galoob announced plans for their popular Spice Girls line of dolls for this year. In the works is a collector's series of dolls which will retail for a hefty $75 each. To account for this price, the collector's dolls will be extremely detailed, feature special high quality packaging, clothing, and accessories. The collector's dolls are due out this fall. Besides the collector's edition, in the normal class of dolls Galoob will be releasing four different fasionable outfits without dolls retailing at $25 each. Galoob also plans to release Spice It Up 2 this summer, and is trying to renegotiate it's contract with the Spice Girls which is due to expire soon. Galoob has plans for many new Spice Girls products and really wants to expand it's product line.

Breaking News - New Concerts!

UK Spice Girls fans will be lucky to find out that there have been 4 new concerts announced for England in December. The dates are as follows:

Tickets go on sale this Saturday(April 17). This is 100% official as it was announced today by Victoria herself on BBC Radio 1's Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.

Victoria On Zoe Ball

Victoria was on BBC Radio 1's Zoe Ball Breakfast Show this morning and she revealed some interesting new information. First of all Victoria dropped the huge info of the new concerts(next post). She also said that she had already tried on her wedding dress and it is NOT a Versace dress as has been thought. Victoria reinforced the message that the Spice Girls are here to stay revealing the new concert information and that they would be going into the studio this summer to record the new album saying:

"We can't wait. We've had a bit of time to come home, chill out, do bits and pieces on our own so we're going to get back together."

She also killed some rumors about her acting career and possible movie roles saying:

"I haven't found the right thing to do yet. I am interested in it but it's important to make sure that the first thing you do is the right thing."

Wax Girls

Emma and Victoria will be immortalized as wax replicas for London's Rock Circus Exhibition. Modellers took 150 measurements of Emma's face, and are out to match her exact eye color. It will take six months to finish the £30,000 wax double of Emma. Victoria is expected to sit for the modeling team to take measurements within the next few weeks.

MelC OK! Interview(+album 3 news)

Here is an April 2nd informative interview from OK! Magazine with Melanie C and her step brother Paul. Among other things Mel reveals that the next Spice Girls album won't be released until next year.

Victoria Wins For Fasion

Victoria has won an award in the catagory "Perfect & Pretty" from Look! magazine. Other nominees included the likes of Jennifer Aniston.

More Can't Stay Tonight

Here is what is apparently a clip to the previously mentioned old Mel C solo called "Can't Stay Tonight". It is very bad quality, short, and doesn't sound much like Mel(maybe because it's so old?), but never the less, download it if you would like(RealAudio).

In more recent interviews, Geri Halliwell claims that she has not been invited to Victoria's wedding.

Can't Stay Tonight Cleanup

Here's the official on the previous post about Mel C's "Can't Stay Tonight" Bond Song: The song does not have anything to do with the Bond movie, it is actually an old unreleased song By Mel. She is still supposed to do the theme song for the new 007 movie, or is she? Either way, email me if you somehow get a copy of this song where it is estimated that only 4 people in the world have a copy of this song, so I probably won't get it, if I ever do I'll post it.

Geri Reveals A Little

In recent interviews Geri Halliwell has stated(confirming the rumor) that she had a plan to leave the Spice Girls in September 1998, but left when she did because of a fallout about her breast cancer interview versus the Spice Girls performance of Viva Forever on the National Lottery show. She also admited that for months following her decision to quit she thought that maybe she had done the wrong thing. Additionally she confessed her sorrow that she did not perform the US leg of the tour and dissapointed all the American fans and apologized for it.

Interesting little detail: The breast cancer interview Geri wanted to go to instead of performing Viva Forever at the lottery show which caused the whole falling out and break up of the group ended up being cancelled.

Austin Powers 2 Soundtrack

Melanie B's cover of "Word Up" will be on the Austin Powers 2 soundtrack(which means it will be featured in the movie somehow) which is due for release on June 1st in the US. No word on the Spice Girls being in Austin Powers 2 as originally planned so it's probably safe to report that the idea was thrown out as filming should probably be wrapping up by now if not complete already. The idea of the girls being in the movie was thrown out probably due to the complications of Geri leaving the group and the pregnancies.

Can't Stay Tonight

According to the German Spice Girls Fan Club Mel C is is singing a song entitled "Can't Stay Tonight" for the new Bond movie. Is this supposed to replace her role of doing the theme song "The World Is Not Enough"? Is she doing both?? Who knows. Here are the supposed lyrics to "Can't Stay Tonight":

Victoria Tracker

Victoria and baby Brooklyn will be doing some traveling in the coming weeks as David Beckham stays home and practices his soccer. First it's off to the south of France to stay at Elton John's luxury villa along with sister Louise and her child and mother Jacki. The following week Victoria will take Brooklyn to Brooklyn! Well..close enough, to Manhattan in New York where Victoria will try on her wedding dress made by Donatella Versace. Victoria is eager to see how Brooklyn reacts to the flight. He is supposed to come to the US along with her unless he doesn't enjoy the shorter flight to France.

Upgraded

NOT SPICE NEWS - Well I got myself upgraded..sort of, the place i got my cpu from sent me the wrong one, aarrrghhh! I'm supposed to be running on a P2 400 but they sent me a Celeron 400, aaaarrrrghhh, they will here it on the phone from me later today. So i'm back for now, i don't know how long it'll last though cause i'll probably have to send the current cpu i'm on back to them and then they will have to send me the right one and .... *sigh* Oh well, at least all my 3D shooters look ridiculously good at the moment on the voodoo3! Ahem...back to the SpiceNews..

Upgrade

NOT SPICE NEWS - I will be building myself a new computer using most parts out of my old one, except now it will be a P2 400 with a Voodoo3 3000! dr00l, i hope to get it working soon, but until i do there won't be any posts, i'll post another message when i'm back online with the new system.

Table Dancers

Melanie C and Natalie Appleton from All Saints spent another night out together at London's Titanic Club. They were such party animals that they both got up on a table and started table-dancing! The crowd was cheering for them. One viewer said:

"Mel and Nat were really up for it. They came across as the biggest party animals in town!"

This definitly proves that the rivalry between the Spice Girls and All Saints is gone, at least between these individuals.

New Wedding Info

As previously mentioned, Victoria's wedding will take place on the 4th of July in Ireland. At this point the couple have apparently started sending out the invitations to guests. The lavish parchment invitations are laced with gold leaf and show the crest which includes a swan floating on a gold crown and a red and white shield with the couple's initials above the words Love and Friendship. 500 guests are planned and are believed to have been asked to wear black and white. Guests are expected to meet at Victoria's mother's home in Hertfordshire where they will board luxury coaches to Holyhead, North Wales, and then they will travel to Ireland on high speed Sea Cat.

MelC Talks Music

Melanie C talked to Top Of The Pops recently and had this particular note to say about the current music scene:

"Garbage. I love them and their new album's brilliant. Have you ever heard to the Cardigans' latest stuff? That's brilliant, too!"

Mel also said that she is shopping for a birthday gift for her father:

"It's my dad's birthday, I usually end up buying him aftershave but I'd really like him to get him a mobile phone cos he's so hard to keep in touch with. Trouble is that's a rubbish present, isn't it? He'd have to fork out loads of money paying bills. Ooh, I don't know..!"

Spice Girls + All Saints

It seems that a lot of unfinished business is coming back into the spotlight. Remember that old rumor of Spice Girls and All Saints doing a song together? Well, it was thought quite dead after the Melb/Shaznay MOBO awards confict, but here is a recent question that All Saint Nicole was asked:

What's the current state of your shaky relationship with the Spice Girls?"

Nicole: "Well, I'll tell you who we've hung out recently: Mel C and Emma Bunton! We've all become really good mates and we're gonna try and do a song together."

Boyfriend/Girlfriend Re-Surfaces

Finally some information as to what happened to the infamous unreleased
Spice Girls song called "Boyfriend/Girlfriend". The story behind it
is this. Blackstreet originally invited Spice Girls to do a track
called "Boyfriend/Girlfriend" on their next album. It was especially
one of Mel B's ambitions to do the track. So the girls flew to LA and
recorded it. It is a rap song. As Blackstreet frontman Teddy Riley was
putting the final touches on the new album, he decided to cut the Spice
Girls out of the track and replace them with Janet Jackson with all
Spice references removed. Riley apparently likes the new version so much
he released it as a world-wide single. One of the lines from the
original Spice version of the song went like this:
"Sugar and Spice, naughty and nice, glitter and ice, entice, Spice up
your life not your baby's mom or wife."

Who knows if we'll ever hear the original Spice version, perhaps it will
end up on the third album, or if anyone has the unreleased version please
email it to me and i will post it.

MelC Buys A Man

RUMOR WARNING
No, not a man as in a boyfriend. Melanie is ready to spend
£3 million on purchasing Georgian international soccer star Georgi
Kinkladze for the Liverpool soccer team. She is apparently angry
that rival tean Everton is leading the bidding race on the player.
A close friend of Mel's is quoted as saying:
"This is not a gimmick. She is deadly serious about it. She is
appalled at the prospect of Georgi joining Everton, when her own
team are searching for a ready-made replacement for Steve McManaman.
And she has told me she would not be put off by the fee." This news
is according to the The Sun, a British tabloid paper.
RUMOR WARNING

Posh Sells Cycle

Victoria has donated a Motorcycle that was used in a
Spice Girls shoot to London's Help A London Child foundation.
The motorcycle was auctioned off through CapitalFM.

Site Facelift

NOT SPICE NEWS - As you noticed the site has gotten a
facelift. Well, it's not really done yet, just a start
really, so some things won't work. I'll be working on the
site throughout this weekend. I'll post another message
when the site remodeling is done.

April Fools!

If for some reason you didn't catch it, the previous
post about Victoria having twins was just an April Fools
joke! ;)

Victoria Has Twins!!!!!

It has been shrowded in secrecy ever since Brooklyn's
birth, but yesterday Victoria made a public announcement
herself revealing that Brooklyn was actually one of two
twins that she delivered at the same time! This is
actually why Victoria and David have been so busy and
tired recently, because they are caring for not only 1,
but 2 babies! The second twin is a girl and her name
is Queens! Victoria said at the Press Conference:
"The reason we didn't announce twins, and only Brooklyn
is because we were worried the media would have a field
day with the story and we feared for our family's privacy. We
decided to see how the media would treat Brooklyn and if
he would be constantly hounded by the paparazzi. Because
the paparazzi wasn't too mean on us and him, we are
finally announcing Queens. I mean, we couldn't keep her
a secret forever! Queens and Brooklyn are both doing
well. Thank you for your time."
That is all that Victoria said at the press conference
which took place in Leicter Square's Gesteur Hall. David
Beckham was by her side but did not say anything, Victoria
apparently wanted to make the whole announcement herself.
The couple quickly left and did not answer any questions.
Queens was born on March 4th(along with Brooklyn) and came
out weighing 5lbs, 7 ounces.

The War Wages On

Despite words from both the Spice Girls and Geri Halliwell
about there being peace between the two sides it appears that
is not true and the war wages on. The Capital Radio London
Awards took place yesterday and Emma along with former
bandmate Geri Halliwell were to share the same table. After
Emma heard that Halliwell would be there she pulled out of
the party. Geri(now sporting blonde hair in her on-going
Madonna wannabe act) knowing it was safe to attend now that
Emma wasn't there went on and arrived at the award show and
joined the table. Who better to fire back on the side of the
Spice Girls then Mel B! Little did Geri know that MelB had
decided to take the place of Emma, and once Geri found out,
she suddenly got up and left. Melanie then went on stage to
collect an award on behalf of the Spice Girls for London's
Favorite Live Group. Mel was asked about the Halliwell incident
and is quoted as saying:
"There's no war between us, it's a shame she had to leave the
lunch early and I missed her."

Perhaps some sarcasm in that comment from Mel? Ooohh yeah!
